Description
This 1m LED aluminium profile provides a surface-mount housing for LED strip lighting up to 12mm wide, finished in powder-coated matt white. The 17mm-wide, 7mm-deep profile includes a 1m opal diffuser that clips into the channel to soften the LED point sources, plus two mounting clips and two end caps for a complete installation.
Designed for under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, shelving illumination in alcoves, and cove lighting where the profile is mounted directly onto the surface rather than recessed. The white finish blends into white cabinetry or painted walls, making the fitting less visible when the LEDs are off. The opal diffuser spreads the light evenly along the length of the strip, reducing the dotted LED appearance common with bare strip installations.
The aluminium construction acts as a heatsink for the LED strip, helping to extend LED life by dissipating heat generated during operation. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only — this profile is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or areas subject to moisture. Additional mounting clips and end caps are available separately (SKU 1MSURWCAP) if multiple 1m sections are being joined or extra support is needed along the run.

Frequently Asked
What width LED strip does this profile accept?
The profile accepts LED strip up to 12mm wide. Most standard single-row LED strips fit comfortably within this width. Measure your LED strip before purchasing to confirm compatibility.
Is the diffuser included?
Yes. The profile ships with a 1m opal diffuser, two mounting clips and two end caps as a complete kit. The diffuser clips into the channel and can be removed for LED strip installation.
Can this be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means this profile is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any area subject to moisture or splashing.
How is it mounted?
The profile is surface-mounted using the two supplied mounting clips, which screw directly onto the wall or underside of a cabinet. The aluminium channel then clips into the mounted brackets. Additional clips can be purchased separately if longer runs or extra support are needed.
