Description

This is a 1m frosted diffuser cover that snaps into the matching aluminium LED profile channel. The article code 'SHADE C/D/E/I-FR 1M' shows it is the 1m frosted (FR) shade sized for the C, D, E and I profile families, so it sits over the LED strip mounted inside the channel. The diffuser itself is passive and does not emit any light. Its job is to spread the strip's output into an even line and soften the look of the individual diodes behind it.

Made from frosted plastic, the cover clips securely along the full 1m length and can be cut down to suit a shorter run. It pairs with surface, recessed, corner or suspended profiles in the same C, D, E and Fr 1M series, replacing a clear cover where a more diffused, glare-reduced finish is wanted. We also stock the matching aluminium profile channels, end caps and mounting clips, along with the LED strip that fits inside.

Which profile does this diffuser fit?

It is sized for the C, D, E and Fr 1M aluminium profile channels in the same series. Check your channel matches one of these widths before ordering, as diffusers are not interchangeable between unrelated profile families.

Can the diffuser be cut to length?

Yes. The 1m frosted cover can be cut down with a fine-tooth saw or sharp blade to suit a shorter channel run. Cut it to match the profile length once the strip is in place.

Does the frosted cover change how the strip looks?

The frosted finish spreads the light into a smoother, more even line and softens the appearance of the individual diodes inside the channel. A clear cover keeps more brightness but shows the diodes more clearly.

How does the diffuser attach to the profile?

It simply snaps into the top of the matching aluminium channel along its length, with no fixings needed. It can be unclipped again if you need to access the LED strip behind it.
