150W 24V Constant Voltage LED Driver - Switchable 110V/230V Input

The Knightsbridge 24DC150M is a 150W constant voltage LED driver supplying 24V DC output from either 110V or 230V AC mains input, switchable via a selector on the unit. The driver delivers up to 6.25A continuous output current and features adjustable output voltage, allowing fine-tuning of the 24V supply to match specific LED tape or module requirements.

Designed for fixed installations of 24V LED tape, under-cabinet lighting, architectural accent lighting and signage, the driver operates at 89% efficiency at full load, reducing heat generation and energy waste compared to lower-efficiency power supplies. The aluminium and stainless steel casing with perforated hexagonal venting dissipates heat passively without requiring a cooling fan, making the driver silent in operation.

Built-in protection circuits guard against short circuits, overloads and over-voltage conditions, shutting down the output if a fault is detected and auto-recovering once the fault clears. The driver measures 159mm x 97mm x 30mm and weighs approximately 380g, fitting inside cabinet voids, ceiling plenums and lighting control enclosures where space is limited. The IP20 rating requires the driver to be housed within a dry, enclosed environment — it is not suitable for damp locations or direct exposure to condensation.

The screw terminals on the output side accept cable gauges suitable for the 6.25A maximum load, and the input side terminals accept both 110V and 230V connections once the voltage selector switch is set. The Class I earthing terminal must be connected to a building earth for safe operation.

Can this driver be dimmed?

No. The 24DC150M is a non-dimmable constant voltage driver. If dimming is required, the LED load must use a 24V DC dimmer installed on the low-voltage output side, or a dimmable driver model should be selected instead.

What is the maximum LED tape length this driver can power?

The driver outputs 150W at 24V, which equals 6.25A maximum current. The tape length depends on the per-metre power draw of the specific LED tape. For example, 10W/m tape can run for 15 metres, while 20W/m tape can run for 7.5 metres. Check the LED tape specification and do not exceed the 150W total load.

Does the driver need to be enclosed?

Yes. The IP20 rating means the driver is not protected against moisture or dust ingress and must be installed inside a dry enclosure, cabinet void, ceiling space or dedicated driver housing. Do not install in bathrooms, outdoors or anywhere condensation may form.

How is the input voltage switched between 110V and 230V?

The driver has a physical voltage selector switch on the side of the unit. Set the switch to match your mains supply voltage before wiring. Incorrect voltage selection will cause malfunction or damage.
