Description

The Knightsbridge UCLED13WW is an 838mm LED striplight delivering 950lm of warm white 3000K light from a 13W integrated LED strip housed in a white polycarbonate body with an opal diffuser. The unit runs directly on 230V mains and includes a 2m power cord, an end-to-end coupler, and fixing clips for surface mounting.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, display shelf illumination in retail, and workbench task lighting, the striplight can be mounted horizontally or vertically and linked end-to-end with up to 11 additional units using optional link leads or the supplied coupler. Each unit carries an independent on/off switch, allowing individual control when multiple striplights are linked on the same circuit.

The 22.8mm width and 36mm projection give the striplight a low-profile footprint suitable for fitting into shallow cabinet plinths and tight shelf gaps. The 145° beam angle provides wide light distribution along the length of the fitting rather than a focused beam, making it suitable for general task illumination rather than accent lighting. The Class II double-insulated construction and IP20 rating suit dry indoor environments.

The polycarbonate body resists impact better than glass or acrylic equivalents, and the opal diffuser spreads the light evenly along the 838mm length to avoid visible LED hotspots. The integrated LED has an L70B50 rated life of 54,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 12 years at 12 hours per day before the output drops to 70% of the original 950lm.

How many units can be linked together?

Up to 12 striplights can be linked end-to-end on a single circuit. The units connect using the supplied end-to-end coupler or optional link leads, allowing continuous runs of up to approximately 10 metres. Each unit retains its individual on/off switch when linked.

Is the striplight dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at fixed output on 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches or trailing-edge dimmers.

What's included in the box?

Each striplight includes the 838mm LED unit with integrated switch, a 2m mains power cord, one end-to-end coupler for linking to another striplight, and fixing clips for surface mounting. Additional link leads are sold separately if extending the gap between linked units.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the striplight is suitable only for dry indoor environments. It should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations where moisture is present.
