Description

The Knightsbridge 13A fused spur unit provides a switched connection point for fixed appliances such as ovens, extractor fans, wall-mounted boilers and immersion heaters, with an accessible fuse holder set into a matt black rounded edge faceplate. The unit isolates a single appliance from the ring main and allows the fuse to be changed without cutting power to the rest of the circuit.

Designed for residential, commercial and light industrial installation, the fused spur fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and carries a 13A maximum load rating at 230V 50Hz. The rounded edge profile softens the visual transition between wall and faceplate, reducing the hard rectangular outline typical of standard switch plates. A built-in gasket between the faceplate and back box prevents dust ingress and provides a cleaner seal against painted or plastered walls.

The matt black finish on the premium-grade steel faceplate provides a low-sheen surface that hides fingerprints and minor scuffs better than polished or gloss finishes, making it suitable for kitchens, utility rooms and workshops where contact is frequent. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and carries IP20 protection, indicating suitability for dry indoor locations only.
