The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang SP switched socket adds one USB-A and one USB-C charging port behind a brushed chrome square edge faceplate with a grey insert. The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is switched off, and the dual USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output delivering up to 20W combined charging power.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25-35mm back box depth depending on wiring conditions. The square edge design sits flush to the wall with a built-in gasket that hides the junction between the faceplate and the wall surface, giving a cleaner finish than traditional raised-edge plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic accent that pairs well with contemporary, minimalist and industrial interiors. A 25-35mm back box depth is needed depending on wiring conditions. The square edge faceplate adds 10.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted. The built-in gasket around the edge hides the junction between the plate and the wall.

What is the USB charging output?

The dual USB ports share a combined output of 5V DC 4.0A, delivering up to 20W maximum across both ports. When two devices are plugged in simultaneously, the 20W total is split between them. Use certified USB cables for safe and efficient charging.

What is the difference between SP and DP switching?

SP (single-pole) switching isolates only the live line when the socket is switched off. DP (double-pole) switching isolates both live and neutral lines.
