Description

The Knightsbridge CU9930 is a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket with two USB-C charging ports delivering a combined 30W fast charge output. The dual USB-C ports support Quick Charge, USB Power Delivery and Programmable Power Supply protocols, making them compatible with modern smartphones, tablets and laptops requiring 20V DC 1.5A charging.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the socket suits kitchens, home offices, hotel rooms and other spaces where mains power and device charging are needed at the same location. The rounded edge profile reduces the projection from the wall to 7mm, sitting closer to the surface than traditional square-edge sockets. The white thermoset resin construction includes anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, making the socket suitable for high-traffic areas where hygiene matters.

The double-pole switches isolate both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching. Top access captive terminals simplify installation by holding screws in place during wiring, and twin earth terminals give flexibility when connecting multiple earths. The socket requires a mounting box depth between 25-35mm depending on cable entry and wiring conditions.
