Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket combines a white thermoset resin faceplate with a 7mm rounded contour edge and screw cap covers that hide the fixing screws once installed. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for appliances and equipment up to 3,120W.

Designed for residential, commercial and healthcare installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and carries anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011. The anti-microbial treatment reduces bacterial growth on the surface, making the socket particularly suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, care homes and clinical environments where hygiene standards are critical.

The 86mm square faceplate projection is 7mm from the wall surface once fitted, giving a low-profile finish that sits close to the wall without projecting significantly into the room. The white finish pairs with standard white walls and woodwork across residential and commercial interiors, and the rounded edge reduces the visual sharpness of the plate corners compared to square-edge variants.
