The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket adds one USB-A and one USB-C charging port behind a white square edge faceplate with screw cap covers. The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, bedrooms and communal areas where phone and tablet charging needs to sit alongside mains power, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth. The USB-C port delivers up to 22W fast charge (supporting 20V DC 1.1A max), while the USB-A port provides up to 18W. When both USB ports are used simultaneously, the combined output is 3.6A at 5V DC (18W total).

The white thermoset resin faceplate carries an anti-microbial coating tested to ISO 22196:2011, reducing bacterial growth on the surface in high-touch environments such as hospital rooms, care facilities and shared workspaces. The square edge profile sits flush with the wall at 7mm projection and the screw caps hide the fixing screws for a cleaner finish. The captive terminals hold cable ends securely during wiring.
