The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket adds one USB-A and one USB-C charging port behind a white rounded edge faceplate with anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011. The USB-C port supports multiple voltage outputs up to 22W maximum (5V/3A, 9V/2.4A, 12V/1.5A, 15V/1.4A, 20V/1.1A), while the USB-A port provides up to 18W fast charging (5V/3A, 9V/2.4A, 12V/1.5A). When both ports charge simultaneously, they share 3.6A at 5V DC (18W total).

Designed for kitchens, bedrooms and home offices where device charging alongside mains power is needed daily, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth. The double-pole switch isolates both live and neutral lines when off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching. The rounded edge plate projects 7mm from the wall and includes screw cap covers that hide the fixing screws once installed.

The white thermoset resin construction carries an anti-microbial coating that reduces bacterial growth on the surface, which can be useful in shared households, rental properties, care settings and high-traffic areas where multiple people touch the same switch plate. The 86mm × 86mm footprint matches standard UK wiring accessory sizing, allowing replacement of existing sockets without modifying back boxes or wall cuts.
