Description
The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP lockable socket features a key-operated switch that controls power to the outlet, preventing unauthorised or unsupervised use. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when locked off, cutting power completely rather than leaving the neutral live as single-pole switching would. The unit ships with two keys.
Designed for hotels, serviced apartments, student accommodation, care homes, retail back-of-house areas and shared workspaces, the lockable socket restricts access to mains power in public or semi-public zones. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W. The screwless faceplate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, giving a clean wall finish with no visible fixings once installed.
The antique brass finish offers a warm aged-metal tone that suits period and heritage interiors, Victorian-style conversions, and pub or hotel refurbishments where modern safety features need to blend with traditional décor. The black insert behind the brass faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. The 201 stainless steel construction carries a 25-year manufacturer guarantee.

Frequently Asked
How does the key-lock function work?
The socket has a key-operated rotary switch that controls power to the outlet.
