Description

This is a constant-voltage LED driver decoded from the POWELED P series, giving a 12V DC output rated to 30W from a 220-240V AC mains input. It converts the mains supply down to a steady 12V, the voltage that low-voltage LED loads need to run safely. The plastic enclosure measures 145 x 48 x 36 mm in white, and the IP20 rating keeps it indoors and away from moisture, so it suits a junction box, ceiling void or cabinet recess rather than an exposed outdoor position.

Use it to power any 12V DC LED load up to its 30W headroom, sizing the total wattage of the connected run within that limit and leaving a little spare for cooler running. It feeds 12V LED strips, modules and profile-mounted tape; it is not a 24V unit, so match it only to 12V loads. Can I run a 24V strip from it?

No. This is a 12V DC unit and must only be paired with 12V loads. A 24V strip needs a matching 24V driver instead.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. With an IP20 rating it is for dry indoor use only, mounted in a cabinet, ceiling void or junction box. For damp or exposed positions choose a sealed IP65 or higher driver.

How do I wire it in?

Connect the 220-240V AC mains to the input terminals and the 12V DC output to your LED load, observing the marked polarity. If you are unsure, have a qualified electrician carry out the connection.
