Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 3-gang 2-way switch controls three separate lighting circuits from a single 86mm white plate with rounded edges and a 7mm projection from the wall. Each rocker operates independently as a 2-way switch, allowing lights to be controlled from two locations when paired with a matching switch elsewhere in the circuit.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the switch fits a 16mm minimum back box depth and uses screw fixings with white caps that snap over the screw heads for a clean finish once installed. The 10AX rating handles up to 2,300W per gang on 230V circuits, making it suitable for standard domestic lighting loads including LED, halogen and incandescent fittings.

The white thermoset resin construction carries an anti-microbial finish tested to ISO 22196:2011, which inhibits bacterial growth on the surface of the switch plate. What is 2-way switching?

2-way switching allows a light to be turned on or off from two different locations. This switch can be paired with another 2-way switch at the opposite end of a hallway, staircase or room to control the same light from both positions.

What back box depth is required?

A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed. The plate adds 7mm of projection from the wall once fitted, giving a total depth of approximately 23mm from the wall surface to the front of the rocker.

What does the anti-microbial finish do?

The anti-microbial coating inhibits bacterial growth on the surface of the switch plate. It has been tested to ISO 22196:2011 standards and is particularly useful in kitchens, bathrooms, care homes and other environments where hygiene is a priority.
