Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 2-way pull cord switch is a ceiling-mounted switch with a 74mm diameter matt white thermoset resin base and a 1.5m white braided pull cord. The 10AX rating handles lighting circuits up to 2,300W on 230V mains, and the 2-way wiring configuration allows the same lights to be controlled from this pull cord and a second wall switch elsewhere in the room.

Designed for bathrooms, utility rooms and loft spaces where a wall-mounted switch would be impractical or fail to meet zone regulations, the pull cord switch mounts to a standard ceiling rose or back box. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments, while the Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection to the metal parts (though an earth terminal is provided for the circuit). The 36mm projection from the ceiling keeps the switch unobtrusive.

The thermoset resin body resists heat, impact and moisture better than standard thermoplastic, giving the switch a longer service life in high-use settings.
