Description

A round wall clock 38cm across, cast in aluminium and finished in antique brass. The face is slightly domed and cut all over with fine lines running out from the centre to the rim, so every line sits light on one side and dark on the other as the light moves across it. There are no numerals and no hour markers of any kind. Slim brass hands turn against the bare face, and the edge is a plain turned rim 2cm deep.

At 38cm across this reads from the far side of a room rather than sitting on a desk or a shelf. The same clock is also made at 58cm. With nothing marked on the face the time comes off the hands alone, so it wants hanging where it is seen straight on rather than high up and at an angle.

The body is cast aluminium, moulded in one piece. Once the casting has been finished in antique brass the etched design is worked into the surface, so the depth of the lines varies a little from one part of the face to another and the brass reads paler where the texture stands proud. The same clock is also made at 58cm.
