Description

The Ziro is a plain cylinder 21.5cm tall and 8.5cm across, closed all the way round and open at the top and the bottom, so the light leaves it in two cones, one up the wall and one down it. It is carried on a small rectangular back plate by a short threaded knuckle, and the whole fitting stands 12.5cm out from the wall face. The bronze is antiqued rather than polished, a dark brown black that lifts to a warm sheen where light runs across it.

The fitting is made for outdoor use and rated IP44. On an entrance wall, either side of a door, or along the length of a garden wall, the two cones wash the surface above and below the fitting rather than throwing light out across the ground, so it is the wall itself that is lit and the fitting stays a dark shape on it. The flex tail out of the back of it is 30cm long.

The body is aluminium under an antique bronze finish, dark enough to sit against brick, render, stone or painted wood without reading as new metal. The recommended lamp is a GU10, to a maximum of 8W in LED, and bulbs are not included. Ziro is made in this finish alone.
