Description
Our Zenta is a slim, straight-sided green vase, made from 100% recycled glass and standing 32cm tall and 13cm across. What sets it apart is the surface: a raised, bubbled texture covers it from rim to base, and the colour deepens towards the foot. Textured glass breaks up the light that passes through it, so the green looks paler in some places and deeper in others. At 1.484KG it is a substantial piece for its size, which you will notice the first time you lift it.
A vase this tall and narrow is made for long stems. Cut branches of eucalyptus or blossom, tulips left at full length, garden foliage or a bunch of dried grasses all stand upright against its straight sides. Set it on a dining table, a sideboard or a hallway console, or on a mantelpiece or bookshelf to break up a long, low run of books and objects. On a bedroom chest of drawers a few dried stems make an arrangement that lasts for months without attention. It suits anyone who likes coloured glass but prefers a simple shape: the plain cylinder leaves the texture and the green to do the talking.
The vase is made from 100% recycled glass, with the bubbled texture running unbroken from the top edge to the bottom and no smooth band at either end. The rim has a gentle, slightly uneven wave instead of a perfectly level edge, which keeps the piece from looking too uniform. For styling, keep the arrangement simple and let the glass carry it: white or cream flowers stand out clearly against the green, and bare winter branches look good with the bubbled surface behind them. On a windowsill or near a lamp the texture shows best, so give it a spot with light coming through the glass.
