Description

This is a vase in solid blue glass, 26cm tall and 17.5cm across, and its outline is what sets it apart. A wide, flaring bowl at the top narrows to a pinched waist, swells again into a smaller rounded bulb, then steps down onto a short ribbed foot. Fine vertical ribs run the full height, so light catches along every fold and the blue deepens where the glass curves inward. It is made entirely of glass and weighs 1.66KG, which gives it real heft for its size.

At 26cm it is a medium height, tall enough for a loose bouquet of fresh or dried garden flowers or a single large bloom, and the wide mouth lets stems fan out rather than stand stiffly upright.
