Description
These stoneware Christmas bowls come as a pair. Each is 14cm across and 7.5cm tall with a capacity of 500ml. A fir branch runs around the outside of each one like a garland, hung with little ornaments: a woven heart, a drum, a snowflake, baubles, a candy cane and a star, with a small pig tucked in among them. The two bowls carry different ornaments, so together they read as a multicoloured pair rather than two identical pieces. The branch wraps right round, so the pattern shows from every seat at the table.
At 500ml, each bowl is a generous size for porridge, rice pudding or cereal on a December morning, and deep enough for soup on a cold evening. Through the season they earn their place beyond mealtimes too: fill one with biscuits, nuts or sweets for visitors, or set both out with snacks when friends come round. They suit a busy family kitchen, a festive brunch or a quiet supper on the sofa. As a pair they make an easy gift for anyone setting up their own Christmas table.
Stoneware is a dense, hard-wearing ceramic, and these bowls are meant for everyday use through the season rather than for display alone. They go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm up leftovers or bake a small crumble in one and then wash it with the rest of the dishes. The weight given is 0.57KG. Once the decorations come down, the two stack neatly in the cupboard until next year. On the table, we like them with plain plates and a linen runner so the branch and its ornaments have room to show.

Frequently Asked
How big are these bowls and how much do they hold?
Each bowl is 14cm across and 7.5cm tall and holds 500ml. That is a good size for porridge, cereal, soup or a pudding.
Can the bowls go in the dishwasher and the microwave?
Yes. Both bowls go in the dishwasher and the microwave, so reheating and washing up are no trouble through the busy season.
Can I use them in the oven?
Yes, the bowls go in the oven, so you can bake a small crumble or warm a portion through in one before bringing it to the table.
How many bowls do I get, and are they the same?
You receive two bowls. Each has its own ornaments hanging from the fir branch, so the pair works together without being identical.
What are the bowls made of?
Both bowls are 100% stoneware, a dense ceramic that feels solid in the hand and suits everyday use at the table.
