Description

The Yoyo is a height-adjustable pendant light built around a polished copper sphere that acts as a visual counterweight to a frosted opal glass shade below. The two elements are connected by twin suspension cables, allowing the lower glass shade to be raised or lowered relative to the copper ball above. The shade itself measures 16cm in diameter and 12.5cm high, with a single G9 LED bulb fitting concealed inside.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and bedside positions, the Yoyo gives directed downlight through the opal glass while the polished copper sphere reflects ambient light back into the room. The 150cm cable allows the shade to sit at typical pendant heights of 700-900mm above a worktop or table, and the adjustable mechanism means the drop can be fine-tuned after installation without re-wiring.

The opal glass shade diffuses the G9 light source into a soft, even glow without hot spots, while the highly polished copper finish on the upper sphere picks up warm tones from the bulb and from surrounding surfaces. The compact 30cm overall width suits smaller rooms, low-ceilinged spaces, and arrangements where two or three Yoyo pendants are hung in a row above a longer island or counter. Metal and glass construction keeps the fitting feeling substantial despite its modest footprint.

What bulb does the Yoyo take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). A G9 LED between 3-4W in 2700K-3000K warm white pairs well with the opal glass shade and copper finish, giving warm ambient light without overpowering the small shade.

Is the height adjustable after installation?

Yes. The shade hangs from twin suspension cables below the copper sphere, and the relative position of the shade can be adjusted on the cables. The maximum cable length is 150cm, which can be shortened on installation to suit lower ceilings.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The Yoyo works well in rooms with ceiling heights from around 2.3m upwards, since the cable can be shortened during fitting. For a kitchen island or dining table, allow 700-900mm of drop from ceiling to the bottom of the shade.

Can multiple Yoyo pendants be hung together?

Yes. The compact 16cm shade diameter means two or three Yoyo pendants can be hung in a row above a longer kitchen island, breakfast bar or dining table. Each pendant is wired individually and would need a separate ceiling outlet or a multi-outlet bar.
