Description

The Yadur is a rectangular wall mirror, 61cm by 45cm, in a deep frame cast from aluminium. The frame is broad and rounded in section, curving in from the outer edge down to the glass, and the surface is left textured rather than smoothed, so the antique brass finish sits unevenly across it and lights in patches rather than all at once.

At 61 by 45cm it hangs either way up and is made for both, which puts it in a hall, over a mantelpiece, or on a bathroom or bedroom wall. It stands 3cm off the wall, and at 4.36kg it wants a fixing rated for the weight rather than a picture hook.

The frame is cast aluminium and the glass is a plain mirror. The casting leaves its own texture in the metal before the finish goes over it, so no two frames are marked in quite the same way. Yadur is also made as a larger rectangle and as a full length mirror.
