Description

A full length mirror, 166.5cm by 75.5cm, in a broad cast aluminium frame with a rounded outer profile that turns back to a flat rebate where the glass sits. The casting is left textured rather than polished, so the antique brass runs from a bright gold on the high points to a darker bronze in the hollows and the tone shifts along each side of the frame. There is no ornament on it at all.

It can go either way up: the frame is the same on all four sides, so it hangs landscape as readily as portrait. At 166.5cm it gives a standing reflection head to foot, which suits a hallway, the end of a corridor, or a bedroom wall beside a wardrobe. It weighs 21.54kg, so it takes a secure fastening into the wall rather than a picture hook.

The frame is cast aluminium and the glass is plain mirror. The aluminium is poured into a mould and the texture left by that casting is what the finish sits on, so the brass reads uneven across the frame and no two frames carry the same pattern of light and shade. The Yadur range also holds a rectangular wall mirror in two smaller sizes.

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

166.5cm by 75.5cm, and 3cm deep.

Can it hang landscape?

Yes. The frame is the same on all four sides, so it works either way up.

What is the frame made from?

Cast aluminium, with a textured surface under an antique brass finish.

How is it fixed?

To the wall, and securely. At 21.54kg it needs a fastening that will take the scale and the weight.

Is there a smaller Yadur mirror?

Yes. The range also holds a rectangular wall mirror in two smaller sizes.

How do I look after it?

Wipe the glass regularly with a microfibre cloth, working in a circular motion. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
