Description

The Vohemar Vase is a tall, oval vase in gold aluminium, with a heavily textured surface that looks as if it has been hewn from rock. The body rises in an egg-like curve to an irregular open rim, and the gold catches light across every ridge and hollow, so it reads differently from each side of the room. It stands 38cm tall, 20cm long and 11.5cm wide, and weighs 2.15KG, which gives it a solid, substantial feel in the hand.

We see it on a mantelpiece, a sideboard, a console table in a hallway or a deep windowsill, anywhere a tall piece of gold can draw the eye. It is made for artificial and dried flowers only, which suits it well: pampas grass, dried eucalyptus, bleached ruscus or a few faux stems all sit naturally against that rugged gold surface.
