Description

The Vivan is a double door wardrobe in solid mango wood, 190cm tall, 93cm wide and 60cm deep. The door fronts and the drawer front are carved with grooves cut one at a time by hand, so they read as ridged rather than flat, and the wood is left pale with the grain showing through. Inside, a hanging rail runs the full width at the top, a shelf sits below it and lifts out, and a deep drawer runs across the bottom of the carcass.

At 190cm tall and 93cm wide it needs both the ceiling height and a clear route in, and at 90.1kg it is a two person lift. Against a bedroom wall with the doors closed, the grooved fronts are what is seen of it. Taking the shelf out turns the inside into one longer drop for coats and dresses; the drawer under the doors stays either way.

The wardrobe is solid mango wood throughout and is treated with a sealant rather than painted. The Vivan range also holds a pantry cupboard, a chest of drawers, bedside, side and coffee tables, beds in King and Super King, and two mirrors.

Frequently Asked

What is inside?

A hanging rail across the full width at the top, a shelf below it that lifts out, and a deep drawer across the bottom.

How big is it?

190cm tall, 93cm wide and 60cm deep. It weighs 90.1kg.

Is the shelf fixed?

No. It lifts out.

What is it made from?

Solid mango wood, treated with a sealant.

How is it looked after?

Wipe the surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth, always along the grain. Mild soap and water can be used, but sparingly, since excess water damages the finish. Keep it out of strong direct sunlight and away from extremes of heat and humidity, and stand nothing wet on it without a mat.
