Description

This round stoneware table lamp is built as an open ring: the bulb sits in the open centre, framed on every side, and the ring rises from a short, flat foot that keeps it upright on a shelf or table. It is pink, with a loose, irregular checked pattern that runs across the front, around the outer edge and into the inside of the ring, so the pattern carries on wherever the eye lands. The lamp is 20.5cm long, 7cm wide and 23.5cm tall, and weighs 1.25KG. Stoneware makes up 82% of it, with the rest PVC, iron and polyamide. Stoneware is a dense ceramic fired at a high temperature.

At only 7cm wide, it suits places with little depth to spare: a narrow bookshelf, a mantelpiece or a slim bedside table. At 23.5cm tall it is a low, compact lamp for a shelf, a desk or a dresser, where it adds colour and pattern as much as light. It suits a living room, a bedroom, a study or a hallway, and anyone who likes a cheerful, characterful piece in their home.
