Description

Vernon is a cast iron candle holder in the shape of a toy soldier, standing 14cm tall and 6cm across. He wears a tall peaked hat with a small emblem at the front, crossed straps over his chest, a belt and boots, all cast in simple, chunky lines. The socket for the candle sits in the top of the hat, so the candle rises straight out of his head like a plume. He is made entirely of cast iron, finished in black, and weighs 0.502KG, a reassuring weight for something this small.

Toy soldiers have long been part of Christmas, and this one is made for the season: on a mantelpiece among greenery, along a windowsill where the candlelight shows from the street, or in the middle of the Christmas table.
