Description

The Velatu is a merino wool throw in a deep ochre, 130 x 200cm. The surface is brushed rather than smooth, so the weave sits under a soft, lofty nap, and the colour runs evenly from one end to the other. The edges are finished with a long fringe spun from the same yarn.

At 200cm long and 130cm wide this is a throw for a sofa or an armchair rather than a lap blanket. Over one arm of a sofa the fringe hangs most of the way to the floor. Over an armchair it will cover the back and both arms at once, and laid across the foot of a bed the 200cm is the measurement that runs side to side.

The yarn is an RWS-certified merino wool blend with nylon, cleaned and spun before it is woven. Merino carries the warmth and the loft, and the nylon is blended in with it. Velatu is also made in Natural, at the same 130 x 200cm.
