Usha Large Classic Wooden Table Lamp Base - Natural

The Usha is a turned mango wood lamp base in the shape of a baluster: a round disc foot, a long tapering column above it, then a turned swelling near the top divided by rings and drawing in to a neck. The wood is left its natural pale colour with the grain running the length of it. A brass collar and a black lampholder finish the top. It is 45cm tall and 14cm across the foot.

This is a base only: no shade and no bulb. At 45cm before a shade goes on it is tall, which suits a console, a sideboard or a side table beside a chair rather than a bedside table. It weighs 0.9kg. It takes one E27 bulb up to 40W, the cord runs 2.5m, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The wood is mango, turned by hand. The trees are grown for fruit first and cut for timber only once they have stopped bearing. The Usha range also holds a floor lamp base. Neither a shade nor a bulb is included.
