Description

The Twist is a 770mm bar pendant suspending five twisted metal drop forms in matt black, each containing integrated LED modules behind opal silicone diffusers. The five drops hang at staggered lengths from a low-profile matt black canopy, creating a rhythm of vertical elements that work across dining tables and kitchen islands. The integrated 50W LED system outputs 3000K warm white light at a combined 3,400 lumens, with a 0-10V dimmable driver included.

Designed for open-plan kitchens, long dining tables and hallways where linear lighting is needed without the uniformity of a continuous bar, the Twist provides multiple light sources with sculptural presence. The canopy is 770mm wide and only 90mm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling rather than dropping a bulky fitting into the room. The adjustable cable system allows drops to be set between 550mm and 1,500mm below the ceiling, accommodating standard and high ceilings. The pendant pairs well with modern, industrial and minimalist interiors where matt black metal is a recurring material.

Each drop is formed from metal sheet bent into a double-twist profile, with the LED strip running down the centre and the opal silicone diffuser wrapping the light source. The matt black powder-coated finish hides fingerprints and dust better than gloss black, and the opal diffuser prevents direct LED hotspots from being visible. At 2.37kg total weight, the fitting is lighter than equivalent multi-pendant systems using separate glass shades, making it easier to install on plasterboard ceilings with suitable fixings.

Is the Twist dimmable?

Yes. The pendant includes a 0-10V dimmable LED driver. You will need a compatible 0-10V wall dimmer or control system to dim the light — standard phase-cut dimmers will not work with this driver.

What length dining table does it suit?

The 770mm canopy width works well over tables between 1.6m and 2.4m long. For longer tables you may need two Twist pendants installed end-to-end, or a different linear pendant design.

How is the drop height adjusted?

Each drop uses an adjustable cable system that can be set between 550mm and 1,500mm below the ceiling during installation. Once set, the cables are locked in place and do not adjust further without re-accessing the canopy.

Can individual drops be replaced if one fails?

The LED modules are integrated into the metal drop forms. If an individual LED fails within the warranty period, contact Schuller or Niori for replacement parts. The opal silicone diffusers are replaceable separately if damaged.
