Description

The Twig is a 122cm tall floor vase constructed from hand-forged metal worked into an openwork lattice resembling interwoven twigs. Each piece is shaped individually by hand using hammering, bending and twisting techniques to form the irregular branch-like pattern, then finished in a warm gold coating. The cone-tapered form stands 34cm in diameter at the base and narrows towards the top opening.

Designed as a sculptural accent for hallways, living room corners and large open-plan spaces, the vase provides vertical visual interest without occupying significant floor area. The openwork pattern allows light to pass through the metal framework, creating shadow patterns on adjacent walls when positioned near a window or floor lamp. At 8.3kg the vase has sufficient weight to remain stable on hard floors without additional support.

The gold finish is applied over the hand-worked metal and shows subtle tonal variation where the forging marks catch light differently across the surface. This is a decorative piece only — the openwork construction means it cannot hold water or fresh stems. The same design is available in smaller sizes and alternative finishes including matt black and matt gold for coordinated groupings across different room scales.

No. The openwork twig construction is decorative only and cannot hold water. For fresh or dried stems, pair the vase with a separate glass or ceramic liner placed inside the cone opening.
