Description

The Twig pillar tealight holder is a 23cm-tall cylindrical frame made from handformed black metal branches that interlock to create an open lattice structure around a central candle platform. Each branch is individually shaped by hand through hammering, bending and twisting to mimic the irregular profile of natural wood, then finished in matt black metal. The open framework allows tealight flame to project light through the gaps, casting branch-shaped shadows onto nearby surfaces.

Designed for console tables, mantels, shelving and dining table centrepieces, the holder fits a standard tealight candle (sold separately) on the internal platform and works as both a sculptural object when unlit and as accent lighting when a candle is placed inside. The 13cm diameter footprint suits narrow console depths and grouped arrangements where multiple holders are clustered together. The matt black finish provides contrast against lighter wood, marble or painted surfaces.

Each holder is handmade, so the exact placement and curve of individual branches varies between pieces. The metal construction weighs 0.65kg, giving the holder stability on flat surfaces without tipping when a tealight is lit. The holder is designed for standard tealight candles, which typically measure 38-40mm diameter. The internal platform supports the tealight at the base of the branch framework. Tealights are sold separately.

Does the metal get hot when a candle is lit?

The open lattice design allows air circulation around the flame, which reduces heat transfer to the metal branches. However, as with any candle holder, the metal will warm during use. Allow the holder to cool fully before handling after the tealight has burned down.
