Description

The Troy 3 is a slim glass pendant light. A single white cylinder of satin glass hangs from a round satin nickel ceiling canopy on a fine suspension and a short metal stem. The body is steel in satin nickel, and the shade is satin glass painted white, so the bulb is hidden and the light comes through as an even, soft glow. It stands 110cm tall overall and the shade is 11cm in diameter. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Because the shade is narrow, the Troy 3 suits places where a wide pendant would crowd the room: a hallway or landing, beside the bed in place of a table lamp, or above a sideboard or a dining table. Hung as a pair or a row, the slim cylinders give a long table a steady line of light without blocking the view across it. The white glass and satin nickel are neutral, so it sits comfortably in a modern scheme and in a more traditional one. Keep it to living spaces and bedrooms, and away from bathrooms and anywhere it could get wet.

There is no switch on the light itself, so it runs from the wall switch already in the room. As a wired mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Glass wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth, so the shade keeps its even white glow with very little effort. It weighs 0.99KG packed. The bulb is not included, so choose an E27 bulb of 40W or less in the colour of light you prefer, and the Troy 3 will be ready from the first evening.
