Description

The Knightsbridge triple USB charger plate provides two USB-C ports and one USB-A port behind a matt black screwless faceplate, delivering up to 63W total output for charging laptops, tablets and phones directly from a wall-mounted plate. USB-C2 supports PPS and PD3.0 protocols with a maximum 63W single-port output, which is sufficient to replace dedicated laptop chargers for devices rated at 65W or below when paired with a certified 100W USB-C cable.

Designed for hot-desking offices, hotel rooms, coffee shop counters, reception areas and home offices where multiple users need charging access without occupying desk space with individual power bricks. The plate fits a standard UK 25mm back box and draws from 230V mains wiring, eliminating the need for separate plug sockets and bulky wall adaptors. When all three ports are in use simultaneously, the charger distributes 45W shared across USB-C1 and USB-C2, with 15W available on USB-A.

The matt black finish is a low-sheen powder coat over premium-grade steel construction. The screwless design uses a cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. A built-in gasket behind the faceplate reduces dust ingress. The plate carries an IP20 rating and a Class I earth terminal for safe installation on metal back boxes.

Frequently Asked

What's the maximum output when charging a laptop?

USB-C2 supports up to 63W on a single port using PPS and PD3.0 protocols, which is sufficient to charge laptops rated at 65W or below. You must use a certified USB-C cable rated for at least 63W — lower-rated cables will limit output to their own maximum (typically 30W). Knightsbridge recommends the AVPDCC15 100W USB-C cable for full output.

Can all three ports be used at once?

Yes. When all three ports are in use, the charger distributes power as follows: USB-C1 and USB-C2 share 45W total, and USB-A provides 15W, for a combined maximum output of 60W. Two-port combinations deliver up to 63W depending on which ports are used — see the Specification sheet for the full power distribution table.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 25mm back box depth is required, though up to 35mm may be needed depending on cable bend radius and wiring conditions. The plate projects 7.5mm from the wall once fitted, with 21mm recessed behind the faceplate.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The matt black cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that is fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the charger and re-clipped without needing to rewire or disturb the back box.
