Description

This is a set of three green paper Christmas decorations, each one folded from fine honeycomb pleats that fan out into a full, layered form. One takes the outline of a little Christmas tree with tiered branches, one swells like an onion dome before tapering to a small tip, and one is a slim drop shape with a rounded bulb at its middle that narrows to a point. They are made of paper with a printed finish, and the three pieces measure 7.5cm across and 10cm tall, 10cm across and 12.5cm tall, and 5.5cm across. The whole set weighs 0.07KG.

Each piece has its own fine string loop at the top, so the three go straight onto the branches of a Christmas tree, along a garland draped over a mantelpiece or the edge of a shelf, or into a jug of bare winter twigs on a sideboard. Hung close together they read as a small family of shapes; spaced along a garland, they carry a quiet run of green from one end to the other. They suit a calm, natural Christmas scheme built around greenery, wood and paper, and they make a thoughtful small gift for anyone setting up a first tree. Because they are so light, they also hang happily from a window catch, a cupboard knob or a door handle in a hallway.

The decorations are made of paper, pleated into a tight honeycomb, and have a printed finish. Paper is best kept dry, so store them somewhere free of damp between Christmases and handle the pleats gently when you lift them out. For the fullest look, hang the three at slightly different heights so each shape shows clearly, and let a sprig of pine fill the gaps between them.

Frequently Asked

What are these Christmas decorations made of?

They are made of paper with a printed finish, folded into fine honeycomb pleats that fan out to give each piece its full, layered shape.

How big is each decoration?

The three pieces measure 7.5cm across and 10cm tall, 10cm across and 12.5cm tall, and 5.5cm across; the maker does not give a height for the last one.

What do I get in the set?

You receive three green paper decorations: a tree shape, an onion dome shape and a slim drop shape, each with its own string loop for hanging.

How do they hang?

Each decoration has a fine string loop at the top, so it slips easily over a tree branch, a hook, a length of garland or a cupboard knob.

How much do they weigh?

The whole set of three weighs 0.07KG, so even the slimmer branches of a Christmas tree can carry them without trouble.
