The Tilston is a twin-pole floor lamp in a soft sand finish, with two cylindrical spot heads set at different heights on slim steel poles above a round disc base. It stands 142.5cm tall on a base 22cm across, so it takes very little floor space while putting light right where you sit. Each head takes an E14 bulb, with a maximum of two 8W bulbs between them, and the bulbs are not included, so you can choose the warmth of light that suits your room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from bathrooms and the garden.

Each head can be angled to suit, so one can throw a soft glow towards the wall while the other is turned towards a book, which makes the Tilston a natural partner for a reading corner, a favourite armchair or the space beside a sofa.
