Description

A round planter 25cm tall and 30cm across, with a rounded belly that draws in slightly to a straight rim. The outside is a dark charcoal, close to graphite, covered in a dense grid of small square marks stamped in by hand and laid in bands right round the pot. The inside is a warm antique brass, and the contrast shows at the rim and again whenever the pot is looked into from above.

It holds 13 litres and is 30cm across at the mouth, which takes a good sized house plant standing in its own pot. Stood together on a floor, the brass interiors read bright against the black. It is rated for outdoor use, so a step, a terrace or a porch suit it as well as a room indoors.

The planter is aluminium. The etching is done by hand, so the bands do not fall in the same places on any two pots. In this colourway it is made in two sizes, 30cm across and 36cm across. It is meant to take a plant in an inner pot rather than being planted into directly.
