Description

The Knightsbridge SF7400BN is a BT telephone extension socket with a black nickel screwless faceplate and screw terminals for standard telephone cable. The socket extends from an existing master socket to provide an additional BT connection point elsewhere in the building, allowing a second telephone line without requiring a new external connection.

Designed for residential and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. The 4.3mm projection from the wall gives a low-profile finish once fitted, and the built-in gasket behind the faceplate helps reduce dust ingress. The socket is certified to BS 5733, the British Standard for telephone master and extension sockets.

The black nickel finish is a dark grey-toned metal with a subtle sheen, providing a contemporary alternative to polished chrome or matt black. The 201 stainless steel construction resists corrosion and fingerprints better than plastic faceplates. The socket measures 87.5mm square and sits flush with standard UK single-gang switch and socket plates, making it straightforward to align when fitted alongside other electrical accessories in the same room.
