Description
Taym is a round terracotta vase 20cm across and 20cm tall, as wide as it is high, with a full and generous belly. The body swells out from a narrow foot to broad shoulders, then draws in to a short, plain rim, and that narrower opening keeps a handful of stems gathered upright. It is made from 100% terracotta in a natural colour with a dry, matt surface. Bands of fine vertical lines run around it between columns of small stacked arches, all cut into the clay, so the pattern shows most clearly where light falls across it from the side.
At 20cm tall it is a medium vase: large enough to hold its own on a sideboard, console or bench, and compact enough for a windowsill or the end of a bookshelf. It suits dried stems well, as seed heads, a dried poppy or a few sprigs of grasses look at home against the plain clay, and faux flowers work just as well. Terracotta is a porous clay through which water can slowly pass, so we treat this as a decorative vase for dried and artificial arrangements; for fresh flowers, place a glass jar or waterproof liner inside the vase first. It sits comfortably in a living room, hallway or bedroom, and makes a thoughtful gift for a new home.
Made entirely of terracotta, the vase weighs 1.3KG, which gives it a steady footing when tall or top-heavy stems lean out over the rim. The surface is matt rather than glossy, so the clay keeps its soft, chalky look and the cut lines read clearly. The styling props shown are not included. Choose stems that rise well above the shoulders and let them lean a little to one side, then set the vase on wood, beside rattan or with linen nearby, where its texture and natural colour have room to show.

Frequently Asked
What size is the Taym vase?
It is 20cm across and 20cm tall, a medium size that suits a windowsill, sideboard, side table or bookshelf.
Can I put fresh flowers and water in it?
Terracotta is a porous clay through which water can slowly pass, so we suggest dried or faux stems; for fresh flowers, place a glass jar or waterproof liner inside the vase first.
What is the vase made of?
It is made from 100% terracotta, with a matt surface and a pattern of fine lines and small arches cut into the clay.
How heavy is it?
The vase weighs 1.3KG, which gives it a steady footing when longer dried stems lean out over the rim.
Are the flowers included?
No. You receive the vase alone; the styling props shown are not included, so the dried and faux stems need buying separately.
