Description

A ring of twisted brass wire, 33cm across and 6cm high, carrying four candle cups spaced evenly round it. Between the cups the wire is bound at intervals with a finer wire and hung with clusters of small mango wood beads in a deep red, five or six to a cluster, each set on a short stem so it stands off the ring like a berry. A few plain brass spheres sit among them. The cups are plain open cylinders and take dinner candles.

The ring lies flat and the candles stand up out of it, so it works down the middle of a laid table rather than off to one side. At 33cm across it sits in the centre of a table without reaching the place settings, and it is low enough at 6cm that people can see across it once the candles are lit. It takes four dinner candles.

The beads are mango wood and the wire is iron under an antique brass finish. Each bead is cut on its own and each cluster is wired on by hand, so no two rings carry the berries in quite the same places. Candles are not included. The same ring is also made with natural mango wood beads, and the Tanu range runs to a wreath and a set of baubles.

Frequently Asked

How many candles does it hold?

Four.

What sort of candle does it take?

Dinner candles. The cups are plain open cylinders.

How big is it?

33cm across and 6cm high.

Are candles included?

No.

Is it made in another colour?

Yes. The same ring is made with natural mango wood beads.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with a mild dish soap and warm water after every use and dry it straight away, so wax does not build up. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which will damage the finish. Stand the candles securely. It gets hot in use, so keep it out of reach of children, wait until it has cooled fully before handling it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
