Tanu Mango Wood Beaded Christmas Wreath - Brass & Ruby

Three hoops of twisted iron wire under an antique brass finish, bound together at one point on the left and splayed apart so they read as three overlapping rings rather than one. The upper half of each hoop is left bare. Along the lower half, short wire stems are wound on and hung with clusters of mango wood beads stained a deep red, five or six beads to a cluster, each cluster reading as a small flower head. Several stems carry on past the rings and trail loose below them.

The piece runs 72cm from the top of the hoops to the tip of the longest trailing stem and is only 2cm deep, so it hangs almost flat to the wall. A single nail through the top of the hoops carries it. All the beading sits in the lower half, so it wants hanging high enough for the trailing stems to fall clear of whatever stands below.

The hoops and the stems are iron and the beads are mango wood. Each bead is cut on its own and every stem is wound on by hand, so the spread of the clusters is not the same on any two. The same wreath is made in a natural colourway, and the Tanu range runs on to beaded baubles and a beaded candle holder.

From a single nail or hook through the top of the hoops.

How do I look after it?

Dust it with a dry, soft cloth and handle it carefully. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from the brass finish.
