Tanu Mango Wood Beaded Baubles - Brass & Ruby - Set of 3

A set of three hanging Christmas decorations, each 12cm tall and 9cm across at the widest point. Each one is built on a coiled brass wire stem with side branches that shorten towards the top, so the whole shape tapers to a point the way a small conifer does. Small mango wood beads in a deep ruby red are threaded in tight clusters along every branch. A brass ring at the head takes a long dark brown strap, folded through the ring into a loop.

At 12cm these are small decorations and they sit among larger ones rather than carrying a branch alone. The shape is flat rather than round, so it reads best face on, which puts it at the end of a branch, along a garland or on the front of a wreath. The straps loop straight over a bare branch without a hook, and spaced along it, each silhouette stands clear of the next. The beads read almost black where the light does not reach them and deep red where it does.

The beads are mango wood, cut one at a time, and the frame is iron wire under a brass finish. Each decoration is shaped by hand, so the bead clusters sit a little differently on every one. Three come in a set, and the Tanu range runs to beaded wreaths and beaded candle holders as well.

How do I look after it?

A dry, soft cloth will lift any dust that has built up. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from it, as they will damage the finish, and handle it with care.
