Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Sylvia sits between decorative and architectural. The clear glass domes allow full visibility of the bulb filament (if using decorative bulbs) while diffusing the light outward and downward. The matte black finish on the metalwork absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the glass and the light source. The minimum drop of 863mm places the lowest dome approximately 1.4m from the ceiling, suitable for a dining table or seating area where the fitting sits above head height but remains visible.

The 1294mm maximum drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the stem, allowing the chandelier to be set higher in rooms with lower ceilings. What bulbs does it take?

The Sylvia takes four E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K, or vintage filament E14 bulbs for a decorative accent visible through the clear glass domes.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 863mm means the lowest dome sits approximately 1.4m from the ceiling. For a dining table, the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The maximum drop of 1294mm suits higher ceilings or entrance halls.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The drop is adjustable between 863mm and 1294mm on installation by shortening the central stem. This allows the chandelier to be set higher in rooms with lower ceilings.

Are the glass shades removable for cleaning?

Yes. Each glass dome lifts off the bulb holder for cleaning or bulb replacement. Wipe the glass with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners on the glass or the matte black finish.
