Description

This Knightsbridge surface mount bracket allows the POTHB2 high bay to be fixed to walls, ceilings and vertical surfaces where the standard suspension cables cannot be used. The bracket is fabricated from 3mm steel with a black powder-coat finish, forming a U-shaped frame that supports the high bay's base plate while providing three slotted apertures on the top rail for cable entry.

Designed for industrial, warehouse and commercial installations where overhead suspension is impractical or where the high bay needs to be mounted closer to the ceiling, the bracket projects 170mm from the mounting surface and measures 256mm across. The two vertical legs fix to the wall or ceiling via bolt holes at the base, while the high bay itself bolts onto the top horizontal rail using the existing threaded holes in the POTHB2's base.

The steel construction and black powder-coat finish match the POTHB2's housing, creating a cohesive appearance when the high bay is mounted in visible positions such as covered loading bays, mezzanine areas and low-ceiling industrial spaces. The 5-year warranty matches the warranty period of the POTHB2 high bay itself, ensuring the complete installation is covered under the same terms.

Frequently Asked

Is this bracket compatible with other Knightsbridge high bays?

This bracket is designed specifically for the POTHB2 model. The bolt hole spacing and dimensions match the POTHB2's base plate. For other Knightsbridge high bay models, check the product specification or contact us to confirm compatibility.

What fixing method is required for installation?

The bracket requires M8 or M10 bolts (not included) to fix the two vertical legs to the mounting surface. The substrate must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the bracket and the POTHB2 high bay — typically concrete, structural steel or solid blockwork.

Can the bracket be mounted on sloped ceilings?

The bracket is designed for flat horizontal or vertical surfaces. On sloped ceilings the high bay will hang at an angle relative to the mounting surface, which may affect the light distribution pattern and appearance.

Does the bracket include fixings for the high bay itself?

The POTHB2 high bay bolts onto the bracket's top rail using the existing threaded holes in the high bay's base plate. If the original fixings for the POTHB2 have been lost, standard M6 or M8 machine screws can be used depending on the thread size of the base plate.
