Description

A super king bed frame in mango wood, 191.6cm wide, 211.7cm long and 120cm to the top of the headboard. The wood is sandblasted, which lifts the grain and leaves the surface textured rather than worked smooth, and the four posts are topped with turned finials. A low panelled footboard closes the foot end. A removable linen headpad in moss is laced to the headboard round its edges with a contrasting natural cord and tied at the tops of the head posts.

The frame takes a super king mattress. It stands 120cm at the head and runs 211.7cm from the headboard to the foot at 191.6cm across, so it needs a room that will take that footprint with room to walk round it. The frame weighs 90kg and carries a maximum weight of 450kg.

The frame is mango wood and the headpad is linen. Each piece is hand-carved and assembled using traditional woodworking techniques, and the wood is sandblasted afterwards to bring out the grain. The Sri bed is also made in king, and in a natural colourway alongside this moss one. The mattress is not included.

Frequently Asked

What size mattress does it take?

A super king. The frame measures 191.6cm across and 211.7cm from head to foot.

How tall is the headboard?

120cm from the floor.

What is the headpad?

A removable linen pad laced to the headboard, in moss, with a contrasting natural cord round its edges.

How do I look after it?

The wood is treated with a sealant, but wipe the surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and moisture, always working in the direction of the grain. Mild soap and water can be used, though not too much water. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive materials away from the finish, keep the bed out of strong direct sunlight, which causes fading, and avoid extremes of heat and humidity, which can cause cracking and splitting. Do not leave rubber or plastic in contact with the wood, and seek professional advice for any scratches or staining.
