Description

The Sottile is a 90cm horizontal LED pendant light built around two slim linear tubes in brushed gold, joined by a frosted white opal globe at the centre. Each tube measures just 1cm in diameter, giving the fitting a graphic, almost drawn quality when lit. An integrated LED runs at 15-30W with a 3000K warm-white output, drawing power through a discreet drop cable from a rectangular brushed gold canopy.

Designed to sit horizontally above dining tables, kitchen islands, breakfast bars and console tables, the Sottile delivers a long, low band of light without the visual mass of a traditional pendant. The slim profile keeps sightlines clear across the table, which makes it well suited to open-plan layouts where the dining area sits within view of a living space. Hung 700-800mm above a tabletop, the linear LED gives even task light along the full length of the surface.

Construction combines metal tubing with frosted glass at the globe, finished in a warm brushed gold rather than a high-shine polished tone. The fitting is wire-suspended at each end with a separate central drop cable carrying power to the LED, allowing the bar to hang level across spans up to 90cm. The frosted globe diffuses a softer pool of light at the centre, while the linear tubes throw a more directional band along the length.

Yes. The light source is an integrated LED rated at 15-30W with a 3000K warm-white colour temperature, so no separate bulb is needed. The LED is built into the fitting and is not user-replaceable in the way a standard lamp would be.

For dining tables and kitchen islands, the Sottile typically sits 700-800mm above the surface. The suspension wires and central drop cable can be shortened on installation to suit the ceiling height in the room.

Can it be installed over a kitchen island?

Yes. The 90cm length suits standard island runs of around 1.2-1.8m, where a single Sottile gives even light along the working surface. For longer islands, two fittings hung end-to-end provide continuous coverage.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer and driver combination. Please contact us before pairing the Sottile with a dimmer switch so we can confirm whether your setup is suitable.
