Description

The Knightsbridge T8BLED14 is a 1225mm (4ft) single-tube LED batten fitting with an integrated 20W LED module, delivering 2300 lumens of 4000K cool white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The pressed steel body houses a constant-current driver and the LED array runs the full length of the fitting, replacing traditional T8 fluorescent tube and ballast setups with a sealed, maintenance-reduced alternative.

Designed for commercial, industrial and residential utility spaces — workshops, garages, storage rooms, corridors, retail back-of-house areas — the batten mounts directly to ceilings or walls using the two end brackets. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The 120° beam angle provides broad coverage across a 3-4m room width when ceiling-mounted at 2.4-3m height.

The white-finished pressed steel body measures 1225mm long, 60mm wide and projects 85mm from the mounting surface once installed. The opal diffuser softens the LED array into an even linear light source without visible hotspots. The fitting is rated for an L70B50 lifespan of 50,000 hours, meaning the LED should still deliver 70% of its original output after approximately 11 years of continuous use. The fitting is non-dimmable and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Can this replace a traditional T8 fluorescent batten?

Yes. The T8BLED14 is designed as a direct replacement for 4ft T8 fluorescent battens. Remove the old fitting, wire the batten to the mains supply via the terminal block inside the end cap, and mount using the two end brackets. No separate tube or starter is needed — the LED is integrated and non-replaceable.

Is it dimmable?

No. The constant-current driver does not support dimming. The fitting runs at full 2300lm output when switched on.

Can it be used in damp or outdoor environments?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable only for dry indoor locations. For damp environments such as external canopies, bathrooms or garages with condensation, choose an IP65-rated vapour-proof batten instead.

What does the 5-year warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including LED module and driver failure. It does not cover accidental damage, incorrect installation, or use outside the specified IP20 rating.
