Description

Sindre is a three-tier wall shelf made entirely of iron and finished in black. Three flat shelves run between two slim upright frames, and each shelf has a low raised lip along its back edge for a neat line against the wall. At the top and bottom, the frames angle back towards the wall and end in small fixing tabs, each with a screw hole, so the whole piece hangs on the wall rather than standing on the floor. It measures 49cm long, 22.5cm wide and 90cm tall, and weighs 3.69KG.

Because it fixes to the wall, it gives you three open levels of display while leaving the floor beneath it clear, which makes it a good fit where a bookcase would crowd the room. In a living room or reading area it holds a short run of paperbacks, a row of small vases and a sprig of dried stems. In a bathroom it suits the wall beside a basin, with folded hand towels on one shelf and soaps and a few everyday toiletries on another. The shelves are open at the front and the ends, so everything on them stays on view and within easy reach.

The iron is powder coated and finished with a water based lacquer. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth whenever it needs it.
