Our Simona shopping bag is woven entirely from jute, a plant fibre with a firm, slightly rough texture and a warm, earthy look. The upper body is worked in a chunky braid, while the lower band is finished in neat horizontal stripes, lighter and darker by turns, which adds a quiet pattern without straying from its natural colour. At 42cm long, 25cm wide and 28cm tall it is a roomy, everyday size rather than a small clutch or a vast holdall, and it weighs 0.806KG.

The two long braided handles rest over the shoulder, which makes this a practical bag for errands, trips into town and days out when you want your hands free. Its sides taper from a wider top to a narrower base, and the open top gives quick access to whatever it holds.
