Description

The Sesulu rug is a large rectangular rug that brings a piece of line art down to floor level. A single continuous black line loops across a beige-grey ground to suggest an abstract figure, crossing a large grey organic shape and a smaller cream one. The grey shape has a soft sheen that catches the light differently from the matt ground around it, so the rug reads as layered rather than flat. It measures 300cm long and 200cm wide and stands 1.2cm in height, a low profile that sits comfortably underfoot and beneath furniture.

At this size it is a rug for a generous room. In a living room it can anchor the whole seating area, with the front legs of a sofa and armchairs resting on it and a coffee table at the centre.
