Description

This table lamp pairs a sculpted green stoneware base with a cylindrical linen shade, and stands 55cm tall and 21cm across. Seen from the front, the base swells into a round, flattened disc between a narrow neck and a flared foot. Turn it side on and the same piece becomes a slim, curving column, so it looks different depending on the angle. The shade is 24cm tall and 20.5cm across, which keeps the whole lamp compact on a table.

At 55cm tall it suits a bedside table, a side table beside the sofa or a sideboard in a living room or hallway. It gives a soft pool of light for reading, or for evenings when the ceiling light feels too bright. Linen lets light through gently, so the shade glows rather than glares. The 160cm clear cable is less noticeable against a wall than an opaque flex. The switch sits on the cord, so you can turn the lamp on without reaching under the shade. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms only.

The base is stoneware, the shade is linen and iron is also part of the lamp's construction. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. It takes an E27 bulb, the standard large screw fitting, at up to 40W, or up to 5W for an LED or 9W for a CFL. No bulb is included, so pick one up when you order the lamp.
